Montreal trio Afternoon Bike Ride comprises three friends: LIA, Thomas White and Tender Spring, who all debuted as solo acts before forming the group. They are known for their lo-fi, bedroom-pop music featuring strong electronic influences, intricate textures, and LIA’s distinctive, mellifluous voice. Afternoon Bike Ride refer to their self-titled 2021 release as a ‘sonic hug,’ and point out, of its handful of guest contributors, how “all of them are friends of ours.” These sentiments of friendship and community are at Afternoon Bike Ride’s core.
