The director, Laurent Pelly is known, among other things, for his brilliant productions of Jacques Offenbach’s operettas. Numerous collaborations with the Opéra de Lyon have led to the discovery of little-known works by the “king of operetta” such as this musical satire inspired by a tale by Charles Perrault. A wink in this 20th season.
