All cellists must one day try their hand at Bach’s Cello Suites, an essential cycle in their repertoire. Noémie Raymond-Friset enjoys pairing the preludes from these suites with 20th-century works that resonate with them. An intimate recital in which the sound of the cello and the scent of lavender intertwine and suspend time.
