Join Calgary’s own triple threat: set, lighting, and projection designer Scott Reid as he uncovers the process of building a world on stage. From imagination to reality, Scott delivers some of the most breathtaking moments onstage, including the mysteries behind seven locked doors in Bluebeard’s Castle, ghosts hovering above the stage in Macbeth, and the enchantment of The Cunning Little Vixen for the Banff Centre. A regular collaborator with companies including Alberta Theatre Projects, Decidedly Jazz Danceworks, and Theatre Calgary, Scott has over 20 nominations and awards to his name.
A dedicated mentor, Scott has taught the next generation of designers through courses at the University of Calgary since 2017. For one night only, take a seat in his classroom: gain expert insights into the art and craft of scenic design as well as universally relatable guidance on staying inspired, effective artistic collaboration, and thoughtful planning for dramatic results.
