Chrysanthemums, a sublime elegy for strings, is a short piece that Puccini wrote in one night upon learning of the unexpected death of a friend. Also on the program, hear the two quartets by Italian prodigy Ferruccio Busoni. Though only four years separate these quartets, we witness an astonishing evolution between the two masterpieces. With Elvira Misbakhova, Chloé Dominguez, Marc Djokic, and Antoine Bareil.
