Where is Toronto’s heaviest musical instrument? Come and discover the 52-bell carillon at Metropolitan United Church this summer! The biggest bell is about 7 feet high and wide, and weighs around 8,500 lbs. The carillonist has to climb 100 steps to get to the playing chamber – and everyone in the Queen and Church area can hear the music outside. With rep from the classics to KPop Demon Hunters, you’ll hear your favourites. Bring a lunch and pull up a bench on the lawn of Metropolitan United, 56 Queen St. E. between 12:00 – 12:45 every Thursday in June.
