Orchestre et ch\u0153ur de l\u2019Op\u00e9ra d\u2019\u00c9tat de Bavi\u00e8re\/Kirill Petrenko<\/p>\n<p>Bayerische Staatsoper Recordings\u00a0BSOREC2001 (disque Blue-Ray)<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0<\/span>\u2605\u2605\u2605\u26051\/2<\/p>\n<p>Erich Wolfgang Korngold a compos\u00e9 son op\u00e9ra en trois actes <i>Die Tote Stadt<\/i> (La ville morte) en 1919 alors qu\u2019il n\u2019avait que 23 ans. C\u2019est une r\u00e9alisation remarquable pour un homme si jeune et ce fut un \u00e9norme succ\u00e8s lors de sa premi\u00e8re et imm\u00e9diatement apr\u00e8s. L\u2019\u0153uvre est bas\u00e9e sur le roman <i>Bruges-la-Morte<\/i> de 1892 de Georges Rodenbach. Le livret a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crit par le compositeur et son p\u00e8re Julius.<i> Die Tote Stadt<\/i> parle de Paul, un homme qui a r\u00e9cemment perdu sa femme, Marie, et qui n\u2019arrive pas \u00e0 s\u2019en remettre. Il rencontre une femme qui lui rappelle Marie et il devient obs\u00e9d\u00e9 par l\u2019id\u00e9e que Marie lui est revenue. De mauvais r\u00eaves s\u2019ensuivent, mais Paul finit par accepter sa perte.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Op\u00e9ra d\u2019\u00c9tat de Bavi\u00e8re nous a donn\u00e9 une version mise \u00e0 jour de l\u2019op\u00e9ra avec une mise en sc\u00e8ne imaginative de Simon Stone et une sc\u00e8ne tournante tr\u00e8s polyvalente de Ralph Myers. Le t\u00e9nor Jonas Kaufmann est exceptionnel dans le r\u00f4le de Paul et la soprano Marlis Peterson l\u2019est tout autant en Marietta. Les deux r\u00f4les n\u00e9cessitent des pages de chant dans le registre sup\u00e9rieur et souvent \u00e0 plein volume pour dominer l\u2019immense orchestre. Les exigences dramatiques sont encore plus grandes. Il y a beaucoup de bonne musique dans l\u2019op\u00e9ra, mais je pense que \u00e7a s\u2019\u00e9tire. Korngold avait \u00e0 l\u2019origine l\u2019intention d\u2019\u00e9crire un op\u00e9ra en un acte sur le sujet. Cela aurait pu \u00eatre plus sage. N\u00e9anmoins, la sc\u00e8ne finale est d\u2019une beaut\u00e9 \u00e0 faire fondre et pourrait difficilement \u00eatre mieux rendue que dans cette interpr\u00e9tation. La direction de Kirill Petrenko est \u00e0 la fois intense et magistrale et l\u2019Orchestre de l\u2019Op\u00e9ra d\u2019\u00c9tat de Bavi\u00e8re r\u00e9pond par un jeu souvent \u00e9lectrisant.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Korngold: Die Tote Stadt Jonas Kaufmann, Marlis Petersen.
