Ce nouveau disque est un volume d\u2019accompagnement et on s\u2019attend \u00e0 plus de Chopin de la part de cet artiste exceptionnel. Chaque fois, il fait preuve d\u2019une technique \u00e9blouissante et d\u2019une ma\u00eetrise exemplaire du lyrisme et de la longue ligne. Le <i>Concerto n\u00b0\u00a02<\/i> est de loin l\u2019\u0153uvre la plus longue du programme et elle est tr\u00e8s bien jou\u00e9e. Mais c\u2019est dans les quatre scherzos que Cho attire vraiment notre attention. Ne vous y trompez pas\u00a0: bien qu\u2019on ait affaire \u00e0 une virtuosit\u00e9 \u00e0 couper le souffle, elle ne vise jamais la vitesse et le volume pour eux-m\u00eames. Cho peut jouer vite et avec pr\u00e9cision, mais il prend le temps de sentir les roses aussi. Notez que les trois pi\u00e8ces plus courtes \u00e9num\u00e9r\u00e9es ci-dessus ne sont incluses que dans la version num\u00e9rique de cette parution. Cho sera \u00e0 Toronto en mars prochain pour jouer les scherzos au Koerner Hall dans un programme qui comprend \u00e9galement de la musique de Ravel et Jan\u00e1\u010dek.
