En 2016, alors qu\u2019il travaillait la sonate avec un \u00e9tudiant, Haimovitz s\u2019est pench\u00e9 pour attraper sa partition et a perdu l\u2019\u00e9quilibre. Son violoncelle, un inestimable Goffriller de 1710, est tomb\u00e9 au sol, se brisant en deux de fa\u00e7on th\u00e9\u00e2trale.
