Buckley Jr, consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme l\u2019un des architectes du courant conservateur moderne. Le public doit voter pour le champion de cet \u00e9change, retransmis en direct \u00e0 la BBC et rediffus\u00e9 ult\u00e9rieurement sur plusieurs cha\u00eenes t\u00e9l\u00e9vis\u00e9es am\u00e9ricaines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv1377104568MsoNormal\">Le spectacle reprend fid\u00e8lement le verbatim du d\u00e9bat original, disponible sur YouTube. L\u2019ERS fait de cet \u00e9v\u00e8nement une exp\u00e9rience v\u00e9cue en direct par l\u2019assistance. La rage contenue du com\u00e9dien, son souffle, donnent une dimension bouleversante aux arguments de son personnage et amplifient leur puissance. L\u2019Am\u00e9rique doit, croit-il, sa prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique \u00e0 la s\u00e9gr\u00e9gation engendr\u00e9e par la colonisation. L\u2019id\u00e9e que l\u2019esclavage soit un pilier fondamental de la naissance et du d\u00e9veloppement du capitalisme fait aujourd&#8217;hui l&#8217;objet d&#8217;un consensus de plus en plus large parmi les historiens et les \u00e9conomistes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv1377104568MsoNormal\">William F. Buckley, fabuleusement personnifi\u00e9 par Ben Williams, attribue \u00e0 Baldwin un narcissisme ethnologique, une vision n\u00e9vros\u00e9e. La mise \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cart sociale des afrodescendants prend source dans leur manque d\u2019app\u00e9tit pour la m\u00e9ritocratie, avance-t \u2019il, quelques statistiques \u00e0 l\u2019appui.
