Suivant les traces d&#8217;Edvard Grieg \u2013 d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 seulement un an avant sa naissance \u2013, Tveitt chercha \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper un langage musical distinctement norv\u00e9gien, enracin\u00e9 dans les majestueux paysages du pays et son riche folklore musical.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sonate n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">o<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 29<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00ab\u00a0Sonate \u00e9ther\u00a0\u00bb, est la seule \u00e0 avoir surv\u00e9cu \u00e0 un incendie d\u00e9vastateur dans la ferme de Tveitt en 1980, qui a d\u00e9truit 80\u00a0% des \u0153uvres du compositeur. Bas\u00e9e sur deux m\u00e9lodies simples, la pi\u00e8ce commence par une texture \u00e9pur\u00e9e, presque minimaliste, mais prend rapidement un \u00e9lan impressionnant, tant dans sa tessiture harmonique que dans sa puissance rythmique, qu&#8217;elle maintient jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fin. La fa\u00e7on dont Tveitt parvient \u00e0 traiter les motifs \u2013 les condensant, les faisant ressortir, les inversant \u2013 est passionnante. Bien que pleine de surprises \u2013 gestes impressionnistes et chutes soudaines de registre \u2013, l\u2019\u0153uvre poss\u00e8de une logique claire.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L&#8217;excellente \u00e9criture pianistique de Treitt para\u00eet accessible et vivante entre les mains habiles d&#8217;Andsnes. Ses articulations, comme les magnifiques <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">staccatos<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> au d\u00e9but du deuxi\u00e8me mouvement, sont particuli\u00e8rement frappantes. Tout au long de l\u2019album, le compositeur et l\u2019interpr\u00e8te semblent fonctionner comme un seul homme, fa\u00e7onnant chaque note avec un soin exquis pour construire un narratif plus vaste.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cinquante airs folkloriques du Hardanger <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sont des miniatures d\u00e9licieusement \u00e9vocatrices, \u00e9crites dans un langage harmonique riche et color\u00e9 tout en conservant leur caract\u00e8re rustique. On entend le bouillonnement d&#8217;une pinte dans <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quelle bi\u00e8re\u00a0! <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">et le tintement des clarines dans <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L&#8217;Appel de la femme laiti\u00e8re<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le dernier tiers de l&#8217;album se compose d&#8217;un ensemble de m\u00e9lodies dans lesquelles le pianiste accompagne sa <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/7eOC3OPxLibpiVgkO2BGF7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">s\u0153ur Solveig<\/a>. Ici, nous d\u00e9couvrons un langage musical plus \u00e9th\u00e9r\u00e9 qui offre un contraste saisissant avec la <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sonate<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Le timbre de la chanteuse \u2013 pur, terreux et lui-m\u00eame \u00e9th\u00e9r\u00e9 \u2013 rend magnifiquement ces <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chansons folkloriques<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
