Ce concours musical, qui reste le plus ancien et l\u2019un des plus prestigieux d\u2019Am\u00e9rique du Nord, tiendra sa 114<sup>e<\/sup> \u00e9dition en juin 2026. Pour le porte-parole Jean<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Marchand, le Prix d\u2019Europe est non seulement une occasion pour les musiciens de se produire et de concourir, mais aussi une chance rare pour le public d\u2019assister \u00e0 un moment historique.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son prestigieux grand prix de 50\u00a0000\u00a0$, Marchand explique que le Prix d\u2019Europe a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 lancer \u00ab\u00a0certains des musiciens les plus prestigieux non seulement au Qu\u00e9bec, mais aussi sur la sc\u00e8ne internationale\u00a0\u00bb. De r\u00e9cents laur\u00e9ats, tels que Charles Richard-Hamelin, Bruce Liu et Elisabeth St-Gelais, m\u00e8nent aujourd\u2019hui des carri\u00e8res internationales. En assistant au concours, les spectateurs entendent ce que Marchand d\u00e9crit comme la \u00ab\u00a0cr\u00e8me de la cr\u00e8me\u00a0\u00bb des musiciens qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Le slogan du Qu\u00e9bec, c\u2019est <i>Je me souviens<\/i>, poursuit Marchand. Nous aimerions que les gens sachent \u00e0 quel point ce concours a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9terminant pour un grand nombre de musiciens qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois.\u00a0\u00bb Il ajoute que si ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es la salle \u00e9tait pleine, la fr\u00e9quentation a mis du temps \u00e0 se redresser ces derni\u00e8res saisons. \u00ab\u00a0Apr\u00e8s la pand\u00e9mie, il a fallu du temps pour que le public revienne assister au Prix d\u2019Europe.\u00a0\u00bb Tout comme les athl\u00e8tes d\u2019\u00e9lite sont entour\u00e9s d\u2019une foule d\u2019admirateurs qui les encouragent, Marchand explique que les musiciens \u00ab\u00a0ont besoin de la pr\u00e9sence du public pour les encourager. Entre le 8 et le 11 juin, environ 25 demi-finalistes pr\u00e9senteront chacun un r\u00e9cital de 50 minutes. Parmi ce groupe compos\u00e9 d&#8217;instrumentistes \u00e0 cordes, de pianistes, de chanteurs et, fait unique cette ann\u00e9e, d\u2019un organiste, dix musiciens seront s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s pour se produire en finale le 12 juin.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Le concours culmine avec un concert de gala le 13 juin, au cours duquel quatre musiciens de renom se verront remettre des prix et l\u2019un d\u2019entre eux le grand prix du Prix d\u2019Europe. Le laur\u00e9at de l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, le pianiste Samuel Lauzon-Schnittka, se produira au gala.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Lauzon-Schnittka, explique Marchand, poss\u00e8de cette qualit\u00e9 essentielle et myst\u00e9rieuse caract\u00e9ristique des grands artistes. \u00ab\u00a0Nous percevons imm\u00e9diatement l\u2019essence d\u2019une personne, sa pr\u00e9sence. C\u2019est cette qualit\u00e9 artistique rare que le jury recherche.
