Si Alfred Schnittke n\u2019avait jamais exist\u00e9, Silvestrov l\u2019aurait invent\u00e9 dans cette \u0153uvre intense, une partition qui passe sans avertissement ni explication de la grandiloquence orchestrale \u00e0 la contemplation solo, et vice versa. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une conversation in\u00e9gale, suffisamment riche en contenu pour m\u00e9riter d\u2019\u00eatre \u00e9cout\u00e9e \u00e0 plusieurs reprises. La huiti\u00e8me symphonie de 2012 qui l\u2019accompagne est assombrie par le soul\u00e8vement russe en Crim\u00e9e et les terribles trag\u00e9dies qui ont suivi. La symphonie appartient au canon \u00e9tabli par Chostakovitch et Vaughan Williams en 1943; elle ne nous quittera jamais.
