{"id":1086793,"date":"2025-06-04T14:41:19","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T18:41:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/myscena.org\/?p=1086793"},"modified":"2025-06-04T14:41:19","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T18:41:19","slug":"critique-de-disque-strauss-salome-malin-bystrom-chandos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aap5.myscena.org\/fr\/john-gilks\/critique-de-disque-strauss-salome-malin-bystrom-chandos\/","title":{"rendered":"Critique de disque | Strauss: <em>Salome<\/em>; Malin Bystr\u00f6m; Chandos"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p><b><i>Strauss\u00a0<\/i><\/b><b>:<\/b><b><i> Salome\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malin Bystr\u00f6m, soprano; Katarina Dalayman, mezzo-soprano; Gerhard Siegel et Bror Magnus T\u00f8denes, t\u00e9nors; Johan Reuter, baryton; Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra; Edward Gardner, chef.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chandos, 2025<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le passage de l\u2019Orchestre philharmonique de Bergen au Festival d\u2019\u00c9dimbourg en 2022 comprenait une version de concert du <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salome<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> de Richard Strauss avec une distribution muscl\u00e9e, dont l\u2019enregistrement vient de para\u00eetre sur Chandos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C\u2019est tr\u00e8s bien. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.braathenmanagement.com\/eng\/artists\/malin-bystrom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Malin Bystr\u00f6m<\/a>, dans le r\u00f4le-titre, est une pr\u00e9sence puissante qui peut \u00eatre subtile, voire lyrique lorsque n\u00e9cessaire, comme durant l\u2019entretien avec H\u00e9rode au sujet de sa r\u00e9compense. Johan Reuter est solide comme le roc dans le r\u00f4le de Jochanaan et les ing\u00e9nieurs du son ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 diff\u00e9rencier assez bien ses diff\u00e9rents degr\u00e9s de tonalit\u00e9. L\u2019alchimie entre Bystr\u00f6m et Reuter est bien communiqu\u00e9e, ce dernier faisant \u00e9galement preuve d\u2019un lyrisme consid\u00e9rable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">H\u00e9rode est chant\u00e9 par Gerhard Siegel avec Katharina Dalayman dans le r\u00f4le de sa femme, H\u00e9rodiade. Tous deux sonnent vieux \u00e0 souhait et l\u00e9g\u00e8rement n\u00e9vros\u00e9s, sans tomber dans la caricature. C\u2019est une v\u00e9ritable com\u00e9die musicale. Les multiples r\u00f4les mineurs sont bien tenus, en particulier le Narraboth de Bror Magnus T\u00f8denes, dont le timbre projette de mani\u00e8re appropri\u00e9e son engouement pour Salom\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La sc\u00e8ne pivot o\u00f9 Salom\u00e9 tente de s\u00e9duire Jochanaan \u2013 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jochanaan ! Ich bin verliebt in deinen Leib<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (\u00ab\u00a0Jochanaan ! Je suis amoureuse de ton corps\u00a0\u00bb) \u2013 est d\u2019une provocation outranci\u00e8re et m\u00e8ne insidieusement \u00e0 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ich will deinen Mund k\u00fcssen, Jochanaan<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (\u00ab\u00a0Je veux embrasser ta bouche, Jochanaan\u00a0\u00bb), peut-\u00eatre le moment \u00e9rotique le plus d\u00e9cadent de tout l\u2019op\u00e9ra, \u00e0 moins que l\u2019on ne pr\u00e9f\u00e8re le n\u00e9crophile <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ah ! Ich habe deinen Mund gek\u00fc\u00dft, Jochanaan <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(\u00ab\u00a0Ah ! J\u2019ai embrass\u00e9 ta bouche, Jochanaan\u00a0\u00bb) chant\u00e9 sur la t\u00eate d\u00e9capit\u00e9e du saint. Aucune retenue\u00a0!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malgr\u00e9 la qualit\u00e9 du chant, c\u2019est l\u2019orchestre et le chef Edward Gardner qui volent la vedette. Cela devient une habitude. Ils excellent ici comme ils l\u2019ont fait dans leur enregistrement de <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Peter Grimes<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> en 2020, \u00e9galement chez Chandos. Le son orchestral est \u00e0 la fois grandiose et d\u00e9taill\u00e9, et parfois assez sinistre. La \u00ab\u00a0Danse des sept voiles\u00a0\u00bb est d\u2019une grande d\u00e9licatesse et la tension est palpable \u00e0 sa suite, lorsque Salom\u00e9 demande la t\u00eate de Jean-Baptiste.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cela dit, pour les besoins de cette \u00e9valuation, j\u2019ai \u00e9cout\u00e9 des versions num\u00e9riques de qualit\u00e9 CD standard qui sonnent l\u00e9g\u00e8rement compress\u00e9es et brouill\u00e9es.
