Son grand et beau t\u00e9nor claironnant au timbre h\u00e9ro\u00efque et sa personnalit\u00e9 chaleureuse sur sc\u00e8ne lui ont valu une reconnaissance mondiale. <em>La Tosca <\/em>qu\u2019il a interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e r\u00e9cemment au <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metopera.org\/season\/in-cinemas\/2024-25-season\/tosca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Met Live in HD<\/a>, avec la grande soprano norv\u00e9gienne <a href=\"https:\/\/aap5.myscena.org\/wah-keung-chan\/lise-davidsen-in-oslo-a-treat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lise Davidsen<\/a>, a \u00e9t\u00e9 un immense succ\u00e8s. Pour ceux qui veulent se faire leur propre id\u00e9e, il suffit de visionner le choix apparemment in\u00e9puisable de ses interpr\u00e9tations sur YouTube. Il est sans aucun doute le meilleur jeune t\u00e9nor \u00e0 l\u2019heure actuelle.<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Son t\u00e9nor spinto est chaud, expansif et italianisant dans son timbre, avec une technique solide et une ma\u00eetrise des \u00ab\u00a0notes d\u2019argent\u00a0\u00bb, si importantes.\u00a0 \u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9coute de ses enregistrements, il y a des moments o\u00f9 sa sonorit\u00e9 rappelle celle du jeune Pl\u00e1cido Domingo, mais avec plus de libert\u00e9 dans les aigus. Dans cet enregistrement sur Decca EP de cinq airs de Puccini tir\u00e9s de <em>La boh\u00e8me<\/em>, <em>Manon Lescaut<\/em>, <em>La fanciulla del West<\/em> et <em>Le villi<\/em>, De Tommaso est en grande forme. En plus de son timbre distinctif, il y a une ardeur dans son interpr\u00e9tation qui est tr\u00e8s attachante.<\/p>\n<p>Si l\u2019on devait ergoter, De Tommaso a tendance \u00e0 mettre la p\u00e9dale au plancher vocalement, se donnant \u00e0 fond \u00e0 chaque instant\u00a0: le stentor typique du v\u00e9risme italien. Lorsqu\u2019une <em>mezza voce<\/em> ou un <em>diminuendo<\/em> est n\u00e9cessaire, il r\u00e9duit un peu son volume, mais seulement si la partition est \u00e9crite pour une voix moyenne. Tout ce qui est au-dessus de la port\u00e9e fait \u00e9clater son plein potentiel. Dans certains airs, on aimerait un peu plus de clair-obscur. Mais comme sa sonorit\u00e9 est absolument enlevante, ses amateurs ne lui en tiendront pas rigueur.
