Dans les six premi\u00e8res \u0153uvres, compos\u00e9es par Celso Machado, la nature enjou\u00e9e de la guitare et de la fl\u00fbte du Duo Charke-Cormier est compl\u00e9t\u00e9e par les instruments de percussion r\u00e9serv\u00e9s et calmes, interpr\u00e9t\u00e9s par Machado lui-m\u00eame. La pr\u00e9sence explicite du rythme souligne les changements de la signature temporelle, bien que le faible volume de la percussion permette aux m\u00e9lodies sautillantes du duo de dominer les \u0153uvres, \u00e9voquant l\u2019image d\u2019un couple de danseurs suivant le rythme d\u2019une m\u00e9lodie.<\/p>\n<p>Dans les quatre \u0153uvres suivantes, Charke et Cormier s\u2019\u00e9loignent de la percussion pour d\u00e9couvrir leurs instruments comme outils d\u2019interpr\u00e9tation. Dans Canzonna detta \u00ab la Bernardinia \u00bb, Charke essaie des m\u00e9thodes peu orthodoxes pour souffler dans la fl\u00fbte tandis que la guitare de Cormier comble le silence, comme s\u2019il donnait au fl\u00fbtiste le temps de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 sa prochaine exp\u00e9rimentation.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019album se termine par la composition-titre de Charke en quatre parties, qui explore la relation entre la vitesse de l\u2019instrumentation et le rythme de la progression m\u00e9lodique.
